Meet Dr. Touchet

Intention

Dr. Ariel Touchet Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist Being a doctor is much more than my job. I truly enjoy partnering with my patients on their unique health journeys and supporting the unfolding of their lives. It is an especially rewarding experience to support fertility patients as I have the honor of bearing witness to their invitation of a new baby and the growth of their family. My intention as a doctor and healer is to help every patient I meet to live an emotionally balanced, physically vital, and fulfilling life.

The Calling

I have always had a fascination with healing. I was fortunate as a young person to have familiarity with naturopathic medicine, yoga, meditation, and other healing arts. I was also a doula in my early 20’s, which made a strong impression on me of our spiritual nature as human beings and fostered a deep desire within me to support health from the very beginning of life.

Transformation

During medical school, I developed a health condition, which served me as a great teacher. It was through this experience that my vision of myself as a future doctor took root. I was motivated to make transformational changes and benefitted greatly from both Naturopathic and Chinese medicine. I also gained an appreciation for the role of conventional medicine. As a result, I am a doctor who offers patients a committed, inspired and empathic approach. I also offer balanced care by respecting my patient’s choices in their health care and working in an integrative model.

Training

I earned my doctorate in naturopathic medicine and masters of science in Oriental medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. My additional training includes a 2 month clinical rotation in India, a 2 year certificate in classical homeopathy, a 6 month certificate in the treatment of fertility according to classical Chinese medicine, a 6 month internship in biotherapeutic drainage, a 1 year internship in 5 Element acupuncture, and a 1 year naturopathic internship in women’s health. I have also received training in NAET.

Private Practice

I currently work in private practice in NE Portland, Oregon at Good Life Medicine Center and at Heartspace Center for Healing in Lake Oswego, Oregon. I am delighted to be a practitioner of both clinics, because the centers have real heart and the offerings are plentiful. I also work at the Immune Enhancement Project – a non-profit clinic dedicated to providing low cost Chinese and naturopathic medical care to patients diagnosed with cancer, multiple sclerosis, HIV, crohn disease, and ulcerative colitis.
